As our company continues to expand, we are currently seeking individuals to join our team and fulfil ACoP L8 Legionella control responsibilities for numerous clients nationwide.

Legionella Risk Assessor – South East

An Excellent opportunity for an Experienced Legionella risk assessor / water treatment hygiene engineer to join a well-established company based in Lichfield!

Key Duties: 

  • Undertaking compliance audits to review the organisations risk management procedures and day-to-day activities to determine whether it is compliant with current legislation and guidance relating to the control of legionella bacteria in water systems and their control measures are effective.
  • Risk Assessment of hot and cold water systems to identify and assess the risk from legionella exposure and providing a detailed document.
  • Producing schematic drawings of water systems surveyed.
  • To provide impartial advice on a comprehensive range of legionella prevention and control issues including risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct monitoring inspections which will involve temperature testing of water outlets. TMV’s, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection and showerhead disinfection.

Candidate Requirements: 

  • You will demonstrate, amongst other guidance’s and Legislation’s a detailed working knowledge of the HSE’s ACoP L8, HSG274 and BS8580.
  • You will be required to hold a City & Guilds accreditation for Risk Assessment for Legionella, equivalent or suitable industry experience.
  • Effective interpersonal, teamwork and organisational skills.
  • Efficient and responsive.
  • Enthusiastic and with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience undertaking Domestic Legionella Risk Assessments.
  • Experience with cooling towers, miscellaneous and Healthcare (HTM) systems would be an advantage but not a requirement.

Notes:

Hours of work: Monday to Friday average 45hr working week door to door. Weekend work will be paid at agreed O/T rates. 

Start date: Immediate subject to notice period  

Salary: Negotiable dependent upon experience. 

A company pension scheme is in operation.

Holidays: 20 days per annum (1 extra day for every full year completed up to 5 extra days), plus UK bank holidays, (3 days of your holiday is compulsory to taken at Christmas). 

This is a full-time position subject to a 6-month probationary period and in return the company is offering the following:

Water Hygiene Technician – South East

We are now looking to recruit a Water hygiene technician to carry out standard ACoP L8 Legionella control work on hot & cold water systems for multiple clients across the country.

The remuneration package will be industry related and commensurate with role, individual responsibility and experience.

Duties & Tasks:

  • Temperature monitoring
  • Showerhead clean & descale
  • Tank Inspections
  • Assisting with tank cleans / cooling tower cleans
  • Maintenance/ Replacement of TMV’s
  • Sampling
  • Liaison with Site Services.
  • Completion of site reports.

Candidate Requirements:

  • The candidate should be well presented and physically fit enough to carry out the necessary tasks involved with all aspects of water hygiene works
  • Ability to work alone or within a small team
  • Ability to communicate with Customers to discuss works conducted
  • Ability to write site reports in a legible manner and basic IT Skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Clean enhanced DBS check will be essential due to the properties to be visited
  • Must be willing to stay away to complete works where necessary.

Trainee Water Hygiene Technician – Aylesbury and High Wycombe

Due to continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a Trainee Water hygiene technician to carry out standard ACoP L8 Legionella control work on hot & cold water systems for our client in Aylesbury. No previous industry experience is needed as full training will be provided.

In this Trainee role, we will provide on-site training so you will soon become confident to carry out the following duties:  

  • Temperature monitoring  
  • Shower head clean and disinfection.  
  • Assist with cleaning and disinfection of cold-water storage tanks  
  • Tank inspections  
  • Calorifier inspections and blow downs  
  • Water sampling  
  • Flushing of outlets  
  • Maintenance of TMV’s  
  • Testing of vehicle wash systems

What do I need to be successful?

  • Self-motivation to work efficiently on your own initiative  
  • A full, clean driving licence as required 
  • Flexibility to work across the region as required  
  • A knowledge of hot and cold water systems would be advantageous  
  • A knowledge of legionella control in accordance with ACOP L8 & HSG274 would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given  
  • The candidate should be well presented and physically fit enough to carry out the necessary tasks involved with all aspects of water hygiene works  
  • Ability to communicate with Customers to discuss works conducted  
  • Ability to write site reports in a legible manner and basic IT Skills   
  • Good general administration skills  
  • A reliable nature and can-do attitude.  
  • Clean enhanced DBS check will be essential due to the properties to be visited  
  • Must be willing to stay away to complete works where necessary   
  • Weekend work, mainly Saturdays is available for overtime

Junior Systems Developer

REPORTS TO: Systems Development Manager

Responsibilities:

  • The development and support of Internal Business Intranet Systems.
  • The development and support of interfaces between the Intranet and 3rd party external application packages.
  • The development and support of client facing cloud based portals.
  • Assisting the Business with the deployment and training of user departments.
  • Providing Software Support to the Business regarding Application Queries.
  • Liaising with user departments regarding system enhancements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Perform thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure their accuracy and functionality.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs that arise.
  • Assist in the documentation and maintenance of the developed software.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have 2 years experience of PHP, in web development.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies.
  • Knowledge of database management systems.

A knowledge of at least some of the following: –

  • HTML
  • JavaScript/jQuery
  • Apache Server (XAMPP/LAMP/WAMP/MAMP)
